The Circle Widens
The debut of The Coastal Cabin Restaurant marks another restaurant in Rhode Island created by Chef/Owner Christian D'Agostino. Christian is also the chef/owner of the Tavern on Main Wakefield (2018), and was the chef/owner of 50 Main Kitchen and Bar in East Greenwich.
The Coastal Cabin Restaurant was formerly known as Caterina’s Italian Village, and was owned by Christian’s mentor, Anthony Mollo. By opening The Coastal Cabin Restaurant, the circle of connectivity has continued to widen. To read more about Christian and Anthony’s connection, visit Coming Full Circle.
Opened in June 2021, The Coastal Cabin Restaurant features creative coastal cuisine — rustic yet elevated homestyle fare with seafood, house-made sausage, and chef-inspired comfort dishes — but don’t expect a typical seafood restaurant — The Coastal Cabin is so much more.
Naturally, we offer New England favorites such as lobster rolls, seafood chowder and fish and chips, but we also have creative fare like beet carpaccio or braised beef short ribs with bacon Brussels sprouts and truffle fries.
Our decor suggests a warm cabin feel blending a contemporary nautical theme and glimpses of the Newport Bridge.
Our craft cocktails are sophisticated and creative, curated with seasonal ingredients and perfect for relaxing on our deck for a late lunch, dinner or a leisurely weekend brunch, kicking back with friends during our daily happy hour, or chilling after a day at the beach. We also have a rotating selection of craft beers on tap and a well thought-out wine list. The coast of Rhode Island is unique and special, and so too is The Coastal Cabin Restaurant.
